Wix API Connection
Prepare Wix Site URL and API, token, or authorization values for a Next-Cart migration service when Wix API setup is shown.
Wix API Connection
Section titled “Wix API Connection”A valid Wix API connection gives Next-Cart the authorized platform access required by the selected migration path.
Next-Cart may show a Wix authorization path, Site URL, Connection URL, API key, token, or related connection values depending on the supported setup for your migration path.
When to use this guide
Section titled “When to use this guide”Use this guide when:
- Wix is the Source Platform or Target Platform in your selected migration path;
- Next-Cart shows Wix API setup;
- Next-Cart asks for Wix connection values.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, confirm that:
| Requirement | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Correct Wix account access | The credentials must be created in the store or account shown in the migration path. |
| Permission to manage API or integration access | The account must be allowed to create, view, or authorize connection values. |
| Scope decisions | You need to know which data types Next-Cart must access. |
| Secure storage | API credentials and tokens must be copied only into approved secure locations. |
| Next-Cart connection screen open | Enter only the values requested by the interface. |
Required values
Section titled “Required values”| Required value | Where to prepare it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Site URL or Connection URL | Wix site dashboard or setup path shown by Next-Cart | Use the Wix site included in the migration path. |
| API Key, token, or authorization value | Wix API key or connected app setup, where requested | Enter only the value requested by Next-Cart. |
| Site or account identifier, if requested | Wix dashboard or authorization result | Provide only if shown by the Next-Cart interface. |
Prepare the API connection values
Section titled “Prepare the API connection values”- Sign in to the Wix account that owns or manages the correct site.
- Open the setup path shown by Next-Cart for Wix.
- If Next-Cart provides an authorization path, complete the authorization and allow the requested access.
- If Next-Cart asks for manual values, create or locate the API key, token, connection URL, or site identifier requested by the interface.
- Confirm the value belongs to the correct Wix site.
- Copy the required values exactly as shown.
Enter the values in Next-Cart
Section titled “Enter the values in Next-Cart”In the Next-Cart connection setup screen, enter only the values requested by the interface.
| Next-Cart field | Platform value |

| API Key, token, or authorization value | API Key, token, or authorization value prepared from Wix. |
| Site or account identifier, if requested | Site or account identifier, if requested prepared from Wix. |
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The Wix API connection values are ready to test in Next-Cart.
Verify the connection
Section titled “Verify the connection”| Check | Pass condition |
|---|---|
| Store match | The prepared values belong to the Wix store shown in Next-Cart. |
| Permission coverage | The credentials cover the selected migration data. |
| Value completeness | Each value is copied without truncation, extra spaces, or missing characters. |
| Connection test | Next-Cart can authenticate and read supported Wix data. |
If the connection fails
Section titled “If the connection fails”| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Authorization error | Repeat the authorization using the Wix account that owns or manages the correct site. |
| Wrong site connected | Confirm the Site URL or site identifier before testing again. |
| Permission error | Confirm the credential or authorization has access to the required Wix data areas. |
| Unclear setup path | Contact support instead of creating unrelated credentials. |
Security cleanup
Section titled “Security cleanup”After migration work is complete and verified:
- remove or revoke temporary API credentials where the platform provides that option;
- reduce access if a broader permission set was used only for migration work;
- remove copied credentials from insecure notes, tickets, chats, or shared files;
- review the store admin account or API user used for API setup.
