eBay API Connection
Authorize eBay access for a Next-Cart migration service when eBay API setup is shown for your selected platform.
eBay API Connection
Section titled “eBay API Connection”A valid eBay API connection gives Next-Cart the authorized platform access required by the selected migration path.
For eBay, the setup usually uses an authorization flow. Next-Cart provides or displays the authorization path, then eBay asks you to sign in and grant access. After authorization succeeds, Next-Cart receives or shows the connection value needed for setup.
When to use this guide
Section titled “When to use this guide”Use this guide when:
- eBay is the Source Platform or Target Platform in your selected migration path;
- Next-Cart shows eBay API setup;
- Next-Cart provides an eBay authorization link or asks you to complete eBay authorization.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, confirm that:

Authorize eBay access
Section titled “Authorize eBay access”- Open the Next-Cart connection setup screen for eBay.
- Select the eBay authorization link or authorization action shown by Next-Cart.
- Confirm that the browser opens the official eBay sign-in page.
- Sign in with the eBay account connected to the data you need to migrate.
- Review the access request.
- Approve the authorization if the account and request are correct.
- Return to Next-Cart after authorization completes.
- If Next-Cart displays an API Key, token, or authorization value for manual entry, copy it and enter it in the requested field.
Enter the values in Next-Cart
Section titled “Enter the values in Next-Cart”In the Next-Cart connection setup screen for eBay, complete the field or authorization status requested by the interface.

Verify the connection

If the connection fails
Section titled “If the connection fails”| Issue | What to check |

| Authorization did not complete | Restart the authorization from the Next-Cart setup screen. |
| Wrong eBay account was used | Sign out of eBay in the browser, then repeat authorization with the correct account. |
| Access was denied | Authorize again and approve the requested access if appropriate. |
| Token or API value is rejected | Re-copy the value shown after authorization, if Next-Cart asks for manual entry. |
| Permission or scope error | Confirm that the eBay account can grant access to the data included in the migration scope. |
Security cleanup
Section titled “Security cleanup”After migration work is complete and verified:
- revoke the eBay authorization if it is no longer needed and eBay provides that option;
- remove copied API values from insecure notes or shared files;
- review eBay account access and authorized applications.
