Additional Options
Review source, target, and general migration options available for the active path, including destructive and continuity-sensitive choices.
Additional Options
Section titled “Additional Options”Additional Options controls migration behavior beyond the selected data types. Only options supported for the active Source-to-Target path are displayed, so review the choices that are actually available rather than expecting every option in every migration.
Option groups
Section titled “Option groups”Source Platform Options
Section titled “Source Platform Options”These options affect the source data processed by the active run.
| Option | Use it when | Review before enabling |
|---|---|---|
| Continue the previous migration | The run should continue from applicable previous migration state. | Confirm that continuing the prior state matches the intended migration outcome. |
| Migrate only newly added entities | The run should process only newly added source records under the supported behavior. | Confirm that previously migrated records do not need to be processed again. |
Target Platform Options
Section titled “Target Platform Options”These options change how supported data is written to the Target Store.
| Option | Effect to review |
|---|---|
| Clear data on your Target Store before the Migration | Removes selected target data before replacement data is imported. |
| Strip HTML tags from category and product names | Removes HTML markup from supported Category and Product name values. |
| Import descriptions images to your Target Store | Copies supported images referenced in description content to the Target Store. |
| Preserve Customer IDs on your Target Store | Preserves supported source Customer IDs where the active migration supports the option. |
| Preserve Order IDs on your Target Store | Preserves supported source Order IDs where the active migration supports the option. |
Import description images
Section titled “Import description images”Use Import descriptions images to your Target Store only when that option is displayed for the active migration path and the migrated description content is expected to keep supported embedded images on the Target Store.
The option does not make every remote or embedded asset migratable. The image still has to be accessible through the supported source setup and accepted by the Target Platform. After migration, validate representative Product or content descriptions and confirm that the image URLs, stored assets, and rendered content point to the intended Target Store result.
If this option is not displayed for the active path, do not substitute another image setting or assume that description images will be copied automatically.
Preserve Order IDs
Section titled “Preserve Order IDs”Use Preserve Order IDs on your Target Store only when the option is displayed for the active migration path and retaining the source Order identifiers is part of the approved result.
Before enabling it, check for existing Target Store Orders or identifier conflicts. After migration, compare representative source and target Order IDs and verify that Customer, Product, and Order relationships still resolve correctly. If the option is unavailable, do not force source Order IDs through an unrelated mapping or Add-on.
General Options
Section titled “General Options”These options control migration-wide behavior where supported.
| Option | Effect to review |
|---|---|
| Migrate SEO URLs of categories, products, posts and pages | Migrates supported source SEO URL values for the listed data types. |
| Create 301 redirects | Preserves supported old-to-new URL redirection behavior where available. |
| Send completion email | Sends the configured completion notification when migration processing finishes. |
| Generate a detailed migration report | Produces the available detailed migration report for review. |
Configure and review the options
Section titled “Configure and review the options”- Review the options displayed for the active migration.
- Enable only the behaviors required for the intended result.
- Recheck every destructive, identifier-preservation, source-window, or URL-related choice before continuing.
- Click Next after the option set is confirmed.
Combinations that need extra review
Section titled “Combinations that need extra review”| Combination | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Newly-added-only processing + target clearing | Previously migrated target records will not be removed when the selected source window will not recreate them. |
| ID preservation + existing target records | Preserved identifiers will not conflict with records already present on the Target Store. |
| SEO URL migration + 301 redirects | The URL and redirect strategy matches the intended launch plan. |
If a required option is not displayed, do not substitute a similarly named control. The missing option is not available for that active configuration unless the migration scope is reviewed through an approved path.
Next Steps
Section titled “Next Steps”Continue to Attribute Mapping to review standard value mappings. Use Previous to return to Select Data if the data-type scope needs adjustment.
