LemonStand API Connection

Prepare LemonStand API connection values for a Next-Cart migration service when API setup is shown for LemonStand.

A valid LemonStand API connection gives Next-Cart the authorized platform access required by the selected migration path.

Next-Cart may ask for your LemonStand store URL and API Token. Prepare these values from the LemonStand backend only when Next-Cart shows LemonStand API setup for the selected migration path.

Use this guide when:

  • LemonStand is the Source Platform in your selected migration path;
  • Next-Cart shows LemonStand API setup;
  • you still have access to the LemonStand backend and API key area.

Before you begin, confirm that:

RequirementWhy it matters
LemonStand backend accessYou need access to the store backend where API keys are managed.
Access to the correct storeThe API Token must belong to the LemonStand store in the migration path.
Permission to create API keysYour account must be allowed to create or view API keys.
Secure storageThe token should be stored securely until setup is complete.

  5. Add a new API Key for the migration service.
  6. After the key is created, copy the API Token.
  7. Store the Store URL and API Token securely until you enter them in Next-Cart.

Token completenessThe API Token is copied in full.
Store matchThe token belongs to the store selected for the migration path.
Connection testNext-Cart can authenticate and read supported LemonStand data.
IssueWhat to check
Backend unavailableContact support before continuing. The connection cannot be prepared without access or backup data.
Token rejectedCreate a new API key and copy the token again.
Wrong store connectedConfirm the store URL and backend account before testing again.
Data preview failsConfirm the store contains supported records and that the API key can read them.

After migration work is complete and verified:

  • remove or revoke temporary API credentials where the platform provides that option;
  • reduce access if a broader permission set was used only for migration work;
  • remove copied credentials from insecure notes, tickets, chats, or shared files;
  • review the store admin account used for API setup.
