Squarespace API Connection
Prepare the Squarespace Store URL and API Key required when Squarespace is the Target Platform, then verify the connection in Connect Stores.
Squarespace API Connection
Section titled “Squarespace API Connection”This guide connects Squarespace as the Target Store. To migrate from Squarespace, use Squarespace Source Data Export.
Orders and Inventory API permissions require the Commerce Advanced or Commerce Premium plan in this workflow.
Get the connection details
Section titled “Get the connection details”-
Sign in to the Squarespace admin and go to Settings > Advanced > Developer API Keys.

Click GENERATE KEY and enter KEY NAME.

Under PERMISSIONS, enable Products, Inventory, Orders, Transactions, and Profiles. Select the highest available access level, Read and Write, where the permission offers it.

Click GENERATE KEY.

Save the generated key when it is displayed; Squarespace shows it only once.
Enter the values in Next-Cart

| Store URL | The Squarespace Target Store URL. |
| API Key | The key generated under Developer API Keys. |
Verify this connection
Section titled “Verify this connection”Use Test Platform Connections for optional access verification. A successful test shows Connected. If the platform remains Not connected, use the shared recovery checks before continuing.
