Configure Your Migration

Configuration turns the approved migration scope into the settings Next-Cart will use for the migration. Start by selecting the data to process, then review the available options and mappings. Configure Add-ons or Customization only when they are included in the purchased service.

Stages available for your service

Complete Data, Options, and Mapping for every migration. Complete Add-ons only when the purchased service includes an Add-on, and complete Custom only when approved Customization work is included.

Work through the configuration

Select Data to Migrate Choose supported data types and keep required dependencies together.

Configure Additional Options Set source-reading, target-writing, URL, notification, and reporting behavior.

Configure Attribute Mapping Match standard source values to operationally equivalent target values.

Configure Add-ons Configure purchased filtering, supported field/database mapping, and target-value transformation rules.

Select Customization Activate approved tailored processing included through Custom Service.

Work through Data → Options → Mapping in order. Add-ons and Custom appear only when they are included in the purchased service. After completing every available area, continue to Migration.

Migration actions and source-reading options are different

A migration action determines the execution and configuration path. Continue the previous migration and Migrate only newly added entities control how source records are read during that activity. Review both layers before execution.

Review the configuration before migration execution

Check	Pass condition
Data	Selected data types match the approved scope, and required dependencies are included.
Source reading	Resume or newly-added-only behavior matches the intended source records.
Target writing	Clearing, image, formatting, and ID-preservation effects are approved.
General behavior	URL, redirect, notification, and reporting choices match the validation plan.
Attribute Mapping	Every required source value has an approved target counterpart.
Add-ons	Every configured rule is purchased, required, and free of conflicts.
Customization	Every selected item matches the approved Custom Service scope.
Destructive actions	Protected records and a recovery plan are confirmed before target clearing.

Expected result

After completing Configuration:

• the migration scope and record-reading behavior are defined;
• target-writing effects and standard mappings are approved;
• purchased Add-ons and Customization are configured when applicable;
• destructive actions and rule interactions have been reviewed;
• the migration is ready for final configuration review.
