Test Platform Connections

Use the independent Test Connection controls for Source and Target, interpret Connected or Not connected, and troubleshoot only a failed side.

Test Connection is an optional access check in Connect Stores. You do not have to run it before proceeding. A Source test checks the Source connection; a Target test checks the Target connection.

  1. Complete the required connection details in Connect Stores.
  2. To check Source access, click Test Connection in the Source Store section.
  3. To check Target access, click Test Connection in the Target Store section.
  4. Review the result for the connection you tested. Correct any reported access issue before continuing.

The manual tests are optional. Once the required setup is complete, use Continue to Configuration to advance. For File Upload, provide the required Source files and complete the Target setup.

A failed connection automatically displays a pop-up notification and Not connected beside the affected platform. An optional manual test also provides feedback for the side tested.

StatusAction
ConnectedNo additional manual connection check is required. Continue with the other side or proceed to Configuration.
Not connectedUse the returned error details to correct the affected URL, credential, permission, KitConnect setup, or access restriction, then retry the affected connection. A manual retest is optional.

Do not change a working connection while troubleshooting the other side.

Connection typeCheck only after Not connected
APIRequested URL when the selected setup provides one, valid credential values, required scopes or permissions, token state, and platform access restrictions.
KitConnectWeb-root placement, kitconnect_xxxxxx/kitconnect.php using the actual extracted folder name, PHP support, file permissions, and firewall/WAF/CDN/security blocking.
File-based source inputExport completeness, required format, file integrity, and upload acceptance.

If the same side still fails, use Troubleshoot Connection Setup or open a Support Ticket with the affected side and the exact error message. Do not include passwords, full tokens, client secrets, private keys, or Backup Codes.

Once the required connection details and files are ready, continue to Configure Your Migration.
