Entity Points, Plans, and Service Pricing
Size capacity without confusing plan volume with service scope by comparing Entity Points tiers, service pricing, and Custom Service starting-price logic.
Entity Points, Plans, and Service Pricing
Section titled “Entity Points, Plans, and Service Pricing”Next-Cart calculates Entity Points from the entered Products, Customers, Orders, and Blog Posts volumes for Standard, Managed, and Custom Service alike. Checkout automatically selects the closest Entity Points Plan whose capacity covers that requirement. Keep the recommended plan or choose a higher plan when you want additional buffer for expected growth before the final migration activity.
An Entity Points Plan controls counted-record capacity. The service type controls how the migration is handled and contributes to the purchase price. Neither one automatically filters source records.
If CSV, XLS, or XML is selected as the Source Platform, Custom Service is required. The included file workflow migrates Products only; other entity types require additional Custom scope that is explicitly approved and developed for the migration.
A platform outside the standard supported Source or Target directory is also handled through Custom Service. In either case, Entity Points still determine the required capacity Plan for the approved scope. The Custom Service starting amount remains a planning figure until the itemized quote is finalized.
Plan selection and upgrade rules
Section titled “Plan selection and upgrade rules”- During the initial purchase, the system selects the closest plan that supports the entered Entity Points requirement for any Service tier.
- You can select a higher plan before submitting the purchase or Custom quote request when additional buffer is appropriate. The chosen plan must provide sufficient capacity.
- After purchase, the plan can be upgraded to a higher capacity but cannot be downgraded.
- A plan upgrade remains attached to the same migration and fixed migration path.
- An upgrade does not restart or extend the active service period. Service validity changes only through the applicable New-purchase or Extend lifecycle.
- Plan upgrades follow the differential billing and active-state rules defined in Orders.
Service selection and execution responsibility
Section titled “Service selection and execution responsibility”Historical service labels do not define the purchase model documented here. Choose among Standard, Managed, and Custom according to the available service scope shown in the active purchase flow and the responsibilities required for the project.
For Custom Service, execution responsibility is selected separately:
- Self-Execute means the customer operates the migration after approved Customization is prepared and verified.
- Expert Handle means Next-Cart engineers manage and execute the agreed migration work, with the applicable engineering fee included in the finalized itemized quote.
Do not assume that technical support access, target-platform installation, custom development, and migration execution are one undifferentiated service. Confirm the purchased Service, Add-ons, Custom scope, and operation mode separately.

Product-only migration pricing
Section titled “Product-only migration pricing”Selecting only Products does not create a separate Product-only website price table. The website migration price is based on the required Entity Points Plan, selected Migration Service, purchased Add-ons, and any approved Custom Service scope.
A narrower migration scope can change the required work or capacity, but the price is not calculated from a legacy rule such as “one price per selected data type.” Estimate the actual counted records, select sufficient Entity Points capacity, and review the complete order in Checkout before payment.
Website migration purchase and service period
Section titled “Website migration purchase and service period”A website migration purchase is not billed as a monthly subscription under this service model. A successful New migration purchase establishes the purchased migration package and a 12-month active service period measured from successful payment confirmation.
An Upgrade changes supported components of the existing package but does not renew that period. An Extend order renews access to the same migration and starts a new 12-month period from successful extension-payment settlement. Use Orders to verify the transaction type and Migrations to verify the resulting active package and Expires value.
How Custom Service pricing works
Section titled “How Custom Service pricing works”The Custom Service amount in the table is a starting price, not a fixed final price.
The final Custom Service cost is based on:
- the Standard Service price for the selected Entity Points Plan;
- the quote for approved Customization work;
- purchased Add-ons, when applicable;
- other work or responsibilities included in the agreed service scope, including the additional engineering fee when Expert Handle is selected for Custom Service.
For example, Start from $149 for the Pro plan means that $149 is the Standard Service price floor for that capacity. The completed Custom Service quote may be higher after the required work and purchased scope are confirmed.
Select sufficient capacity
Section titled “Select sufficient capacity”Calculate the expected Entity Points from Products, Customers, Orders, and Blog Posts, then select a plan whose capacity is at or above the calculated total.
Include reasonable allowance for:
- new eligible counted records expected before the final migration activity;
- records omitted from the first estimate;
- approved scope changes that introduce new eligible counted records;
- growth between purchase and final execution.
Do not add capacity merely because previously counted records may be processed again. Records already counted under the same purchased service and migration path do not consume points again solely because another supported migration action processes them.
Capacity example
Section titled “Capacity example”A calculated requirement of 2,850 Entity Points requires at least the Growth+ plan because Growth covers up to 2,000 points and Growth+ covers up to 4,000 points.
This comparison selects capacity only. The final purchase also depends on service type, Add-ons, approved Customization, discounts, taxes, and other order details.
Additional capacity
Section titled “Additional capacity”After Global+, additional capacity is priced in increments of 100,000 Entity Points.

If capacity is insufficient
Section titled “If capacity is insufficient”When the approved migration scope exceeds the active plan, expand Migrations in the Dashboard, select My Migrations, open the relevant migration’s Statistics, then select View Upgrade Option. Follow Purchase a Migration Upgrade to increase Data Volume, accept the automatically selected closest sufficient plan, or use Change next to Plan in the Payment section when a higher plan is required intentionally.
Before completing an upgrade:
- confirm the correct purchased migration service and migration path;
- compare the active plan maximum with Total Entity Points Used;
- estimate remaining new eligible counted records;
- confirm whether an earlier upgrade order is pending or complete;
- confirm that the selected plan is higher than the active plan;
- review the Upgrade order and confirm that its differential amount matches the intended higher plan.
Processing may stop before all remaining eligible counted records reach Success when available capacity is insufficient. Confirm that the upgrade is complete before starting another migration activity.
Plan-upgrade billing
Section titled “Plan-upgrade billing”Entity Points Plan upgrades use the same differential billing model as other Upgrade orders. Use Purchase a Migration Upgrade for the purchase procedure and Orders for the calculation, no-downgrade rule, failed-order behavior, and synchronization of a successful plan upgrade into the live migration.

Shopify Migration App pricing is separate from website service pricing
Section titled “Shopify Migration App pricing is separate from website service pricing”The Shopify Migration App and the Next-Cart website migration service have separate product scopes and pricing models. Do not use an old Shopify Migration App plan table to estimate a website migration order, and do not apply website Entity Points pricing to an App purchase unless the active App flow explicitly uses it.
For the website service, use the pricing and capacity rules on this page together with the active Checkout. For the Shopify Migration App, use the pricing and feature information presented by the active App purchase flow. When comparing the two, first confirm which product will execute the migration and which features or limits belong to that product.
