Review the Full Migration Configuration
Complete the final readiness check before the first Full Migration.
Review the Full Migration Configuration
Section titled “Review the Full Migration Configuration”Prevent avoidable Full Migration errors by confirming that the connected stores, selected scope, configuration, capacity, target protections, and validation plan are ready before processing begins. Use this review as the final readiness gate for the first Full Migration under a purchased service.
The first migration has no last used configuration. Complete the current configuration from the beginning. After migration activity completes, Next-Cart can record the configuration for later continuation actions.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Confirm that:
- the purchased migration service is Active;
- the migration path is correct;
- both store connections pass their required tests;
- the intended data scope is documented;
- Entity Points capacity covers eligible records that have not migrated before;
- target-store records that must remain are identified;
- representative validation records and pass conditions are prepared.

Review the configuration
Section titled “Review the configuration”| Area | What must be confirmed |
|---|---|
| Data | Every required data type is selected, automatic dependencies are understood, and excluded data is intentional. |
| Source Platform Options | Continue the previous migration or Migrate only newly added entities is enabled only when its source-reading behavior is required. |
| Target Platform Options | Target-data clearing, HTML removal, description images, and ID preservation match the intended target result. |
| General Options | SEO URLs, redirects, completion email, and detailed report settings match the project requirements. |
| Attribute Mapping | Each source value maps to an appropriate target Site, Language, Inventory Location, Attribute Set, Root Category, Customer Group, Payment Status, or Fulfillment Status where available. |
| Add-ons | Purchased filters, supported field or database mappings, and transformations are complete and do not conflict. |
| Customization | Every required purchased Customization item is selected. |
| Entity Points | Available capacity covers newly migrated eligible Products, Customers, Orders, and Blog Posts. |
High-risk checks
Section titled “High-risk checks”| Risk | Required decision |
|---|---|
| Clear data on Target Store before Migration | Confirm the affected target data types, recovery plan, and whether manually or application-created records can be deleted. |
| Migrate only newly added entities | Confirm that updated existing records are not required for this activity. |
| Continue the previous migration | Confirm that the earlier activity was interrupted and should resume from its last processing point. |
| Preserve IDs | Confirm target compatibility and absence of identifier conflicts. |
| SEO URLs and redirects | Confirm target support and the post-migration redirect plan. |
| Description images | Confirm that source images are accessible and supported by the target. |
| Add-on rules | Check dependencies, unique values, field destinations, and sample rule outcomes. |
| Customization | Confirm the selected item matches the approved requirement and acceptance criteria. |
Make the readiness decision
Section titled “Make the readiness decision”Choose one result:
- Go - the configuration, capacity, target impact, and validation plan are ready.
- Revise - a connection, setting, mapping, Add-on rule, or selected Customization item must change.
- Escalate - the requirement cannot be completed safely through the available configuration.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”A reviewed configuration is ready to enter the Migration step. The reviewer can explain the selected data, source-reading behavior, target impact, mapping decisions, purchased features, Entity Points capacity, and validation plan.
Verify readiness
Section titled “Verify readiness”| Check | Pass condition |
|---|---|
| Service | The correct migration path is Active. |
| Connections | Both stores pass verification. |
| Configuration stages | Every visible stage is complete. |
| Destructive behavior | Target-data clearing and replacement risks are approved. |
| Source scope | Resume or newly-added-only behavior is intentional. |
| Entity Points | Remaining capacity is sufficient. |
| Validation | Samples, pass conditions, and escalation path are documented. |
If readiness fails
Section titled “If readiness fails”Return to the affected configuration stage and correct it. Do not use a later migration action to bypass an unresolved configuration or capacity issue.
Open a ticket when the required behavior is unavailable, Customization scope is unclear, or the target-store impact cannot be confirmed safely.
Next step
Section titled “Next step”When the decision is Go, continue to Run a Full Migration.
