Prepare Rain products, categories, inventory, images, customers, and orders export files for Next-Cart source data file upload.
Rain Source Data Export
Section titled “Rain Source Data Export”A complete Rain export gives Next-Cart the source files required by the selected migration path.
When to use this guide
Section titled “When to use this guide”Use this guide when:
- Rain is the Source Platform;
- Next-Cart shows source data file upload for Rain;
- you need to prepare product, category, inventory, image, customer, and order files before upload.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, confirm that:
| Requirement | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Rain admin access | You need permission to open inventory, customer, and order areas. |
| Bulk export access | Product, inventory, category, and image exports are prepared from the bulk inventory area. |
| Date filter decisions | Some export files may depend on date filters or approved scope decisions. |
| Order export permission | The account must be allowed to download order CSV files. |
| Secure storage location | Prepare a local folder for spreadsheets and CSV files. |
Data types to export

Before you export
Section titled “Before you export”Create a folder such as:
source-exports/└── rain/ ├── inventory-bulk/ ├── customers/ └── orders/Export the files
Section titled “Export the files”- Sign in to the Rain admin area.
- Go to Inventory > Bulk.
- Download Edit Existing Products Long using the approved filters.
- Download Edit Existing Inventory using the approved filters.
- Download Categories.
- Download Product Images.
- Go to Customers > Customers.
- Select Export and download the customer CSV.
- Go to Orders.
- Select Download CSV and save the orders file.
Organize the exported files

Keep the original file names where possible so Next-Cart can identify the export type clearly.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”You have Rain inventory bulk spreadsheets, customer CSV, and order CSV ready for upload to Next-Cart.
Verify the export
Section titled “Verify the export”| Check | Pass condition |

| Inventory bulk files | All four inventory bulk spreadsheets are present. |
| Products and inventory | Product and inventory files cover the approved scope. |
| Categories | The Categories spreadsheet is present. |
| Product images | The Product Images spreadsheet is present when image references are in scope. |
| Customers | The customer CSV contains expected customer records. |
| Orders | The orders CSV contains expected order records. |
If the export is incomplete
Section titled “If the export is incomplete”| Issue | What to check |

| Product details are missing | Re-download the Edit Existing Products Long spreadsheet. |
| Inventory data is missing | Re-download Edit Existing Inventory and confirm filters were not too narrow. |
| Categories are missing | Download the Categories spreadsheet from Inventory > Bulk. |
| Image references are missing | Download the Product Images spreadsheet and keep it with the product files. |
| Customers or orders are missing | Re-export from the customer or order area and confirm your account has export permission. |
| Required data is not available in standard exports | Document the missing data and submit it as a Custom Service requirement. |
