Select approved Customization items included in the purchased Custom Service scope.
Select Customization
Section titled “Select Customization”Customization applies approved Custom Service work to the current migration. Custom appears only when the purchased service includes at least one ready-to-use Customization item.
Add-ons and Customization are separate
Section titled “Add-ons and Customization are separate”A purchased service can include:
- Add-ons without Customization;
- Customization without Add-ons;
- both Add-ons and Customization;
- neither.
Standard Add-ons provide bounded filtering, supported field/database mapping, and target-value transformation controls. Customization provides approved tailored processing defined through Custom Service.
What can appear
Section titled “What can appear”Approved Customization may cover requirements such as:
- tiered Product pricing;
- converting variants into separate Products;
- merging duplicate Customers;
- normalizing SKU formats;
- generating missing image alt text;
- flattening a Category tree;
- synchronizing inventory across locations;
- mapping custom attributes.
The actual list is specific to the purchased service and approved requirements.
Customization controls
Section titled “Customization controls”Available controls include:

| Customization selector | Lists approved items available for the service. |
| Add | Adds the selected item to the migration workflow. |
| Active status | Confirms that the selected item is available to run. |
| Delete | Removes an item from the current configuration. |
| Go to Migration | Continues from Configuration to Migration. |
Select the approved Customization items
Section titled “Select the approved Customization items”-
Open Custom
Open Custom in the migration configuration.

Review the available items
Confirm that every listed item matches the approved Custom Service scope.

Select an item
Choose the required Customization item from the selector.

Add it to the workflow
Select Add and confirm that the item appears in the active list.

Repeat for other approved items
Add only the items required for the intended migration result.

Remove unintended items
Use the delete action before execution if an item should not run.

Continue to Migration
Select Go to Migration after all required items are active and approved.
Review Customization interactions
Section titled “Review Customization interactions”| Interaction | What to confirm |

| Customization + Data Transformation | The resulting target-field value does not conflict with the approved tailored processing. |
| Customization + Attribute Mapping | Standard site, language, group, and order-state mappings remain compatible. |
| Several Customization items | Their execution expectations and outputs do not conflict. |
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”After completing Custom:
- every selected item matches the approved Custom Service scope;
- every required item is shown as active;
- unintended items are removed;
- interactions with standard configuration and Add-ons are understood;
- the configuration is ready for final review and migration execution.
Verify the selection
Section titled “Verify the selection”| Check | Pass condition |

If this does not work
Section titled “If this does not work”| Issue | What to do |
|---|---|
| Custom is unavailable | The purchased service may not include approved Customization work. Review the service scope. |
| An approved item is missing | Submit a ticket with the migration path and approved requirement. |
| An item shows an unavailable or inactive state | Do not continue until Next-Cart confirms the item is ready. |
| An unintended item was added | Remove it before migration execution. |
| Two items appear to conflict | Pause configuration and request technical review. |
| The requirement changed after approval | Submit the revised examples and acceptance criteria for Custom Service review. |
